The HP rp8440 server can be configured with up to 16 dual-core PA8900 1.0686GHz processors. Each server can be configured with up to four cell boards, each of which can hold 4 single or dual processors and 64GB memory (for a system total of 256GB). The rp8440 includes 16 PCI-X I/O slots, 4 internal disk bays, and 2 internal removable media bays. The rp8440 also includes 10/100/1000 Base T LAN, U320 SCSI interface, management LAN, and RS-232 serial port.
