The HP9000 rp8420 Server can run 2 to 32 PA-8800 900MHz or 1.0 GHz processors, 1-4 cell boards (each cell: 2 to 8 processors and 2 to 32GB memory), supports up to 256 GB of memory, can hold up to 584GB internal storage, has 16 open PCI-X internal hot-plug I/O card slots, and 4 hardware partitions (nPars) using Server Expansion Unit. The rp8420 supports HP-UX 11i v1 and HP-UX 11i v2.
