The IBM System p5 Model 520 (9131-52A) is the follow-on server to the original p5 520. The main difference is that the newer p5 520 and the p5 520Q use Power5+ processors, instead of the p5 processors used in the original Model 520. The p5 520 can be configured as a 1-way model (using a single-core 1.65GHz or 2.1GHz processor card), a 2-way model (using a dual core 1.65, 1.9, or 2.1GHz processor card). The p5 520Q can be configured as a 4-way system (using a quad core 1.5GHz or 1.65GHz processor). The 9131-52A can hold from 1GB to 32GB of memory. The Model 520 or 520Q can hold up to 2400GB of internal disk; the system contains a maximum of 8 drive bays, of which four are hot-swap front accessible DASD bays. This p5+ system also includes six hot-swap PCI-X slots, integrated dual 10/100/1000 ethernet, integrated dual port Ultra 320 SCSI controller, and optional RAID adapter.
