The IBM system p5 Model 55A (9133-55A) is available in both rackmount (4U) and deskside variants. The Model 55A can hold either dual core or quad core Power5+ processors. This p5+ system holds two processor slots, and is available in 550 configurations, which use one or two dual core 1.65GHz, 1.9GHz and 2.1GHz p5+ processors, and in 550Q configurations, which or or two quad core 1.5 or 1.65GHz p5+ processors. The 9133-55A can hold from 1GB to 64GB of memory. The Model 550 can hold up to 2400GB of internal disk using eight hot-swap drive bays; the system comes standard with four hot-swap drive bays, and four more are optional. The system can also be configured with up to five hot-swap PCI-X slots. The p5-55A also features integrated dual 10/100/1000 ethernet, integrated dual port Ultra 320 SCSI controller, and optional RAID adapter.
