The IBM System x3550 M2 Express Server features the energy smart 2U design with 1-2 Intel XEON 5500 Series Dual Core processors with QuickPath Interconnect up to 2.93 GHz and up to 1333 MHz front-side bus. It is capable of supporting up to 128GB of memory (using 8GB DDR-3 RDIMMS). The x3550 M2 also features up to12 Hot-Swap 2.5" SFF, SAS/SATA/SSD HDD drive bays with storage capacity of up to 3.6TB and is RAID 0/1/1E-capable. The x3550 M2 has 4 PCI Express Gen2 slots and can be configured with optional risers to convert to 2 x 16 slots. This system offers proven technology and energy efficent design. The x3550 M2 supports VMware ESXi 3.5 industry leading virtualization solution.
